NEW CARLISLE —
A man has been arrested after two juveniles reported being sexually abused.
Shawn D. Haggar, 35, has been arrested and placed in Clark County Jail.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said it interviewed the children after getting a call from their school, which it didn’t identify. Several instances of sexual abuse were told to authorities by the juveniles. They stated it had been by a man known to them and occurred for several years.
Investigators conducted a search warrant at the suspect’s New Carlisle home and recovered evidence. Haggar was interviewed and arrested Thursday.
He is charged with two felony counts of rape. Haggar pleaded not guilty to the charges Friday in Clark County Municipal Court. His bond was set at $200,000.
