Breaking News Staff

SPRINGFIELD —

Police are looking for two females who stole a pair of Dolce & Gabbana brand eyeglasses, valued at $300, from Kearfott Eye Group, 20 S. Burnett Road on Wednesday afternoon.

The first suspect is described as white with brown hair, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and 230 pounds. She was wearing a dark jacket and pants, carrying a green purse and has a neck tattoo and visibly rotting teeth, according to a Springfield police incident report.

The second suspect also is white, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and 160 pounds. She was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, according to the police report.

A store employee told police the women entered the store and appeared to be window shopping before they took the gold, diamond-encrusted glasses. The employee said the women left without paying and fled to the Walgreen’s parking lot at 2609 E. Main St.

The women then drove east on West Main Street in a black Ford Escort, headed toward a Walmart.

Police were unable to lift any usable fingerprints in the store, according to the report.
