The Tecumseh High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) hosted their Twenty-Fourth Annual Regional Air Force Junior ROTC Drill Meet Championships Saturday, March 9, 2013.

It was a day of tight formations and snap to drills.

The Tecumseh H.S. Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) held the 24th annual regional Drill Meet Saturday at the high school located at 9830 West National Road. The High School is 6 miles west of Springfield on highway 40. The event which started at 8 a.m., was sponsored by the Wright Memorial Chapter, Air Force Association from Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

Drill teams from 21 schools located in Illinois, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Ohio took part in a total of 208 events throughout the day. There were 6 areas of competition with 12 different events occurring simultaneously.

The awards ceremony to announce the winner was scheduled for approximately 5:30 p.m.

The competition was open to the public with no admission charge.
