Springfield teen seriously injured in rollover crash

SOUTH CHARLESTON —

A 17-year-old was seriously injured Wednesday night when the vehicle she was driving on South Charleston Pike went off the road, rolled and ended up in a field.

Danielle Greene, of Springfield, was driving a green 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix northwest in the 7000 block of South Charleston Pike when the vehicle went off the road and came to rest in a cornfield, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Greene was ejected during the crash, which was reported shortly after 9 p.m., according to OSP.

CareFlight responded to the scene and transported Greene to Miami Valley Hospital. Greene was listed in fair condition early Thursday morning.

What caused the vehicle to go off the road was not immediately clear, OSP reports.
