High school packs auditorium to grant dying father's wish

There was the same pomp and circumstance even if it was only for one student, high school senior David Tran.

David learned right before school started that his dad, a former soldier and POW in Vietnam for six years, has terminal liver cancer and only a month or two to live.

His father's wish was to see his oldest son graduate high school.  David's sister contacted the school and administrators broke out the caps and gowns.  David Tran thought it was only going to be football teammates and a few friends in attendance, not a packed auditorium.

His father was also surprised.

"Very, very happy..." he said.
