"We wouldn't even be talking about a trial if it weren't for the fact that people here and all over the country demanded justice for Trayvon Martin," said demonstrator Noche Diaz.
Seminole County authorities have been planning for the trial for last year and are prepared to handle any chaos or issue that arises.
There are two zones in front of the courthouse that have been set aside for protestors and demonstrators. Law enforcement officers will be on hand for crowd control if necessary.
Officials said 500 Seminole County residents have been summoned to be part of the jury pool. Jury selection begins at 9 a.m. Monday and is expected to take one or two weeks.
