Mechanicsburg man killed in Clark Co. accident

A Mechanicsburg man was killed late Saturday night in an accident on Mechanicsburg-Catawba Road just east of State Route 54.

Troopers said that an SUV driven by Brandon C. Pelfrey, 19, was eastbound when he drove off the left side of the road, hit a utility pole, and overturned. Investigators said Pelfrey was ejected and was taken by Careflight to Miami Valley Hospital. He was later pronounced dead.

A post on the WHIO-TV Facebook page said that Pelfrey was from Northeastern High School. That information has not been independently confirmed.
