WHIO, COX take home 3 Ohio Emmy Awards


WHIO and Cox Media Group Ohio took home three local Emmy Awards Saturday night.

Award recipient and WHIO Executive Producer Quincy Wallace was on hand with other Cox colleagues at the 50th Ohio Valley Chapter Regional Emmy Award ceremony Saturday in Columbus.

In the Newscast-Daytime and Weekend category, Wallace and WHIO News Anchor John Paul accepted the Emmy for News Center 7 at Noon: Tornado Team Coverage.

In the Feature News Report: Single Story category, WHIO News Anchor James Brown and Photographer Mike Burianek accepted the Emmy for Polished Girlz: Make a Difference.

In the Commercial category, CMG Ohio Marketing Manager Barbara Kedziora and Creative Director Anthony Getts accepted the Emmy for Introducing the MyDaytonDailyNews.com website.
