The city of Urbana has lifted a boil advisory after a pair of water line breaks over the past weekend that affected hundreds of residents.
The boil advisory was lifted shortly before noon today, said Robert Munch, superintendent of the Urbana Water Division.
Previously, the advisory had been in place for all water customers east of East Lawn Avenue in the city.
A water line break initially occurred on Scioto Street Friday Evening, followed by a second break on Finch Street. Officials said the boil advisory affected as many as 200 residential customers and numerous businesses.
