Fresh thunderstorms knocking out power in northern counties

UPDATE @ 8:07 p.m.:   New thunderstorms that hit Auglaize, Logan and Mercer counties have caused power outages to an estimated 850 Dayton Power & Light customers in Auglaize and an estimated 186 in Logan, the utility's outage page shows.

UPDATE @ 2:30 p.m

DP&L says the 2,030 customers who were without power in Montgomery County have had their power restored. DP&L officials reported a tree fell onto a power line in Huber Heights causing the outage. The outage lasted around 45 minutes.

Thousands are without power across the region as strong storms push through the area Tuesday.

DP&L: 

2,043 in Montgomery County

41 in Clinton County

16 in Greene

Scattered outages in Champaign, Mercer and Preble counties.

Duke Energy:

186 in Butler County

Ohio Edison: 

56 in Clark County.
