Temps in the 60s, showers on tap for weekend

A partly sunny and mild Saturday will give way to scattered showers by Sunday as a cold front slides into the region and stalls, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs said Friday afternoon.

Skies will remain clear and quiet for the rest of Friday evening, with temperatures falling out of the 50s.

More clouds are expected to arrive by sunrise Saturday. Highs are expected to reach the 60s by afternoon.

A surface low will track into the Great Lakes on Saturday night, dragging with it a cold front that will arrive Sunday with scattered showers. Still, it’ll be mild with highs in the low 60s.

The stalled weather system will shift north and south through midweek. Highs will remain in the mid to upper 60s through Wednesday.
