Edwards was arrested Thursday after he picked up a 14-year-old German Twp. girl from her bus stop at around 9 a.m., prompting an Amber Alert from law enforcement.
Clark County Sheriff's deputies pulled Edwards over on Ohio 41 and found the girl hiding in the back of his vehicle under some blankets. It's believed the teen went with him willingly, according to her mother.
Tammy Bruce said her daughter had told her in the past she was in love with Edwards.
Bond was set at $51,000.
