Springfield gas leak shuts down streets

A natural gas leak in Prime Ohio Corporate Park this morning prompted authorities to shut down streets in the area.

The gas leak happened about 10:15 a.m. in the park near Dole Fresh Vegetables, 660 Benjamin Drive. At 11:10 a.m., officials said that the only two businesses still disrupted by the gas leak were Dole and LexisNexis, which has a remote data center and development facility in Prime Ohio.

According to Springfield Police Division dispatch, the intersections at Titus Road and Gateway Boulevard and Ohio 41 and Gateway Boulevard were both closed. By 11 a.m., Gateway and Ohio 41 were open.
