Today was a day of new weather records in the Dayton area.
“It’s feeling more like fall than summer,” said Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs.
The Dayton International Airport recorded a low of 53 degrees and an afternoon high of 71 degrees today. The previous record low was 54 degrees, set in 1977, and the record “coolest” high was 72 degrees, said Vrydaghs.
For tonight’s weather outlook it will be mostly cloudy, breezy and cool. Clouds will begin to decrease later tonight and temperatures will fall quickly. Overnight lows are expected in the mid-50s.
Monday, look for mostly sunny skies to start the day and then a few more afternoon clouds are expected.
Temperatures Monday will be cool again during the day with highs only rising into the mid-70s.
Monday night looks to be partly cloudy skies and cool with lows dropping to the mid-50s.
Tuesday temperatures will reach into the upper-70 with partly sunny skies. We could see some showers or storms as early as Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
