Clark County Fair Schedule: Find out what’s happening every day

3 people injured, dog missing in Bethel Twp. crash

Three people were injured and a dog is currently unaccounted for after a crash in Clark County early Thursday morning.

Deputies, state troopers, and medics were dispatched to the intersection of U.S. 40 at Ohio 235 around 3:50 a.m. on a reported crash with injuries.

One person was trapped inside the vehicle, but was freed.

Three people were transported to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. Sgt. Jason Cadle of the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said the victims, two men and one woman were all talking and alert when they left the scene.

An initial investigation found one vehicle ran a red light at the intersection, but Cadle said troopers were still investigating which driver was at fault.

“It looks worse than what it really is, just because of the amount of debris that few out,” Cadle said.

During the crash a Boxer in one of the vehicles was either ejected or ran off and is currently unaccounted for.

Anyone who locates the missing dog is asked to contact state troopers.

The roadway was allowed to reopen around 6 a.m.
