After 13 years, the $8.5 million National Trail Parks and Recreation District’s Chiller downtown ice arena is nearing completion. On Thursday, crews worked around the clock hand painting the Columbus Blue Jackets logo, blue lines and face-off circles on the ice surface. The arena, which will be managed by the Columbus-based Chiller Group, is the final piece of a 13-year, $17 million effort to improve parks and recreation in Clark County, which also included Splash Zone Family Aquatics Center and Carleton Davidson Stadium.
