Gas prices in region approach $4 per gallon

Gas prices have spiked throughout the Southwest Ohio region.

Several stations today, Feb. 12, have unleaded fuel at a cost approaching $4 per gallon.

Gas was found as high as $3.79 per gallon at a BP station on Ohio 4 and High Street in Hamilton and a Shell station on Cincinnati Dayton Road in Liberty Twp., Butler County.

The highest in the Dayton area was sold for $3.77 per gallon at a Marathon station at Main Street and Ridge Avenue, according to www.daytongasprices.com.

On the lower end in the Dayton area, gas was spotted at $3.44 per gallon at a Sam’s Club fuel station on Miller Lane.

Several stations in the Springfield area are selling it for $3.75 per gallon.

The Associated Press is reporting today oil prices have fallen to $97 per barrel after a sharp rise Monday.
