Fatal Springfield Accident

A 74-year-old Springfield woman died after crashing into a utility pole early Sunday afternoon. Marcia Cochenour was driving a black Dodge Neon that rear-ended a Ford sport-utility vehicle at about 12:15 p.m. on McCreight Avenue before crashing into a pole on the northwest corner of McCreight and Garfield avenues, Springfield police Sgt. Brett Bauer said.
