Election polls are now closed.

"Voters in 74 counties will decide several local races and 351 local issues, including 138 school issues and a number of local tax levies, bond issues and charter amendments," said a release from Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted. A list of local issues appearing on the ballot is online at www.myohiovote.com.

Voters going to polls should take a proper form of identification.

Elections updates are available via twitter by following @OhioSOSHusted, the release said.

The State of Ohio also has a program in which voters may dedicate their votes to past and present military service members. The Vote in Honor a Veteran initiative allows voters to post a testimonial about a loved one on the Secretary of State’s website and social media sites.

More information is available at www.ohiomilitaryvotes.com.

Those voting under the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act have until 7:30 p.m. today to turn a marked ballot in at the board of elections in the county in which the voter is registered. UOCAVA voters may vote in person only at the county board of elections until 7:30 p.m. today.
