Bellefontaine man killed in Logan County rollover crash

A 23-year-old Bellefontaine man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Logan County Friday morning.

State troopers and medics responded to Ohio 292 in Perry Twp., Logan County around 7:25 a.m. on reports of a single vehicle rollover crash.

An initial investigation found a 2004 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Ethan P. Zack, 23, of Bellefontaine, was traveling north on Ohio 292 when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, according to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The SUV crashed into a fence post and a culvert, causing it to roll at least one time.

Zack was pronounced dead at the scene by the Logan County Coroner.

Troopers said Zack was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Other factors remain under investigation, but alcohol does not appear to be a cause.
