The change will take place immediately, according to the Clark County Board of Elections. The next city election will be held on May 2.

“It was a long-term relationship we had with them,” Director Jason Baker said. “Hopefully, voters can find the new location as easily as they did the previous location.”
The church wanted to end its relationship with the Board of Elections about the middle of last year, Baker said. However, the church allowed the board to use its facility for the November election.
“They graciously let us use it through the big presidential election,” Baker said. “I told them we’d be out of there by the end of 2017.”

There are 1,707 registered voters in those two precincts, Baker. Informational mailers will be sent to all voters in the two precincts, including parking illustrations and entrance locations.
“We found a very suitable place basically around the corner,” he said.
Residents are also welcome to vote by absentee ballot by mail or in person at the Board of Elections, 3130 E. Main St.
