Fatal ride malfunction at Ohio State Fair

IKEA offering $20 coupon when you donate unwanted furniture Saturday


IKEA and Goodwill will partner Saturday to host a national furniture take-back event.

During the event, which is part of the IKEA’s Earth Day celebration, customers may donate used furniture via a Goodwill truck in the IKEA parking lot.

In exchange, IKEA will give customers a coupon for $20 off a $150 IKEA purchase. The coupon is valid from Saturday until May 21.

IKEA West Chester’s furniture take back is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the parking lot at 9500 IKEA Way, West Chester Twp.

As part of Earth Day events, IKEA will be conducting games and several workshops. Some of the topics will include:

  • Benefits of Biking
  • Sustainable Living Challenge (with prizes)
  • LED Lightbulb Digital Game (with prizes)
  • Småland Video and Coloring Sheets

IKEA and Goodwill cannot accept donations of mattresses, bedding, children’s furniture, toys or lighting. Furniture does not need to be from IKEA, any furniture brand will be accepted.
