High school students make janitor's dream come true

By the end of the year, students are usually having dreams of summer vacation on their minds, but students at one Kentucky high school have made a dream come true for one employee who, oftentimes, can go unnoticed.

It all happened Wednesday, LEX18 reported, when Ricky Spaulding was called to the Anderson County High School gym to clean up a spill.  When Spaulding walked in, he found a pep rally and a garbage can filled with cash. Total collected -- $1,900.

This winter, Spaulding and his wife will travel to Italy, where his son is currently stationed. They will finally be able to hold their grandson, whom they have never met.

Inquisitr reported the couple had relented that they would have to wait to hold their grandchild because of the cost to fly to Europe.  But the students would not accept that delay and started collecting the money earlier this year.
