5-day event planned for new UD president’s inauguration

Eric Spina will officially be inaugurated as the University of Dayton’s 19th president in a ceremony on April 4.

Spina took office last July. The ceremony will feature multimedia, song, dance, a few surprises, and two dozen members of the UD community and their thoughts on “This is Our UD.”

During the ceremony, Spina will be formally commissioned as president by the board of trustees and the Marianist Province of the United States, according to the university. He will share his outline of a strategic vision for UD, which emerged from a broad-based visioning process involving more than 1,000 people.
