Economists told Pew that wage growth can mostly be attributed to a shortage in service workers, aging baby boomers’ growing demand for help at home and minimum wage increases.
The study also ranked the jobs with the fastest growing paychecks in each state.
Ohio jobs with the fastest increasing paychecks
Below are the jobs that had the fastest growing paychecks from 2010 to 2016, according to Pew. Pay listed is the average 2016 amount.
1. Loan officers: $69,140, up 26.3 percent
2. Network and computer systems administrators: $76,230, up 21.37 percent

3. Production, planning and expediting clerks: $48,620, up 20.62 percent
4. Helpers/ production workers: $30,190, up 20.47 percent
5. Social and human services assistants: $32,310, up 18.61 percent
