Write-in candidate Wanda Jean Truss will be the newest board member for Springfield City Schools, according to final but unofficial results from the Clark County Board of Elections.

Truss and Incumbent Stephen Feagins won the two open seats on the board in an uncontested race. The write-in votes will be counted officially Tuesday, Nov. 24, but Truss is the only eligible write-in candidate, said Mark Oster, director of the board of elections.

What made her eligible? And what actually qualifies her to make educational decisions for the children of our area? What is her educational background? What degree does she hold? What leadership experience does she have? I hope that the next time the people have more choices on who will be the best candidate. Good Luck Wanda! I wish you the best and remember to keep children at the center of all your decisions.
