XENIA — The widow of an accused Yellow Springs drug dealer was put on five years probation for her role in a drug ring that imported cocaine and marijuana to Greene County.
Bekelech M. Asefa, 26, of Canal Winchester near Columbus, pleaded guilty to attempted complicity to racketeering and money laundering in October. She agreed to forfeit a car, cash and property. Judge J. Timothy Campbell sentenced her Tuesday, Dec. 15.
Asefa was married to Umoja “Iddi” Bakari, who hanged himself in a Georgia jail in 2008. He had fled the Columbus area when police raided homes he owned.
