Wanted man arrested in local motel

SPRINGFIELD TWP. — A man who was wanted on charges of food stamp fraud and trafficking in crack cocaine was arrested at a local motel today, Feb. 8.

According to information from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Brian G. Lewis, 21, who has no permanent address, was arrested after authorities received information that he was staying at the Day’s Inn Motel, 11 W. Leffel Lane, in Springfield Twp.

According to information from the sheriff’s office, deputies and detectives made contact with Lewis, who was staying in the motel along with several other individuals.

He was wanted on a secret indictment on charges of trafficking in crack cocaine, and food stamp fraud. Authorities also found a large amount of cash and what appeared to be one ounce of crack cocaine, according to information from the sheriff’s office.

Lewis was placed in the Clark County Jail and additional charges may be filed.
