Jury selection began Monday, July 19, in the trial of a man accused of the murder of a local businessman in 2008.
Willie Anderson, 43, is charged with aggravated murder, three counts of murder, two counts each of aggravated robbery and felonious assault and one count of tampering with evidence.
He is accused of killing Jeff Ebner, 53, in November 2008.
Testimony in the trial is expected to begin today in Clark County Common Pleas Judge Richard O’Neill’s courtroom.
Ebner was discovered with a serious head injury at his family’s business Nov. 13 in what investigators believe was a robbery.
Police were alerted to the scene by a mysterious 911 call from a man who claimed to have gone to the business to steal car radios and discovered Ebner injured inside.
Investigators have not said who they believe placed that call.
Ebner was flown to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton but died the next day.
If convicted on all charges, Anderson could be sentenced to life in prison.
