MASSIE TWP. — Authorities may have found a critical missing person this afternoon, March 18, who had threatened to commit suicide.

The man, who went missing from Hamilton County, was found alive but incoherent around 3:40 p.m. in Caesar Creek State Park, possibly near the gorge area, according to emergency dispatches.

At 3:55 p.m., a medical helicopter was requested to be on standby.

An officer searching on an all-terrain vehicle found the man by a wooded area; the officer transported the man on the ATV to a life squad waiting on Clarksville Road, according to emergency dispatches.

Local authorities joined in the search at 1:15 p.m. when the missing man’s car was found parked by the Caesar Creek Gorge.

The man was considered a critical missing person because he left a note that he was going to commit suicide, according to a Warren County Dispatch supervisor.

A K-9 unit from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office helicopter assisted in the search, the supervisor said.
