A man tried to rob two pizza employees who were making a bank deposit early Sunday morning, Nov. 22, but came away with nothing.

According to a report by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a complaint from an employee at Cassano’s Pizza at 12:45 a.m. The employee told deputies that she and another employee were making a deposit at Security National Bank, 2035 South Dayton-Lakeview in Park Layne.

According to the report, the employee approached a night deposit box when a white male began to yell from a corner of the building and ran at her. The employee quickly closed the deposit box with the cash inside and fled to her vehicle, where the other employee was waiting.

The suspect, who had a cloth over the lower part of his face, fled north and neither employee was injured.

The incident is still under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call the Clark County Sheriff’s Office at (937) 328-2560.
