Man fights with police after being patted down for gun

David Marshall McWhorter, 38, of North Fountain Avenue, was arrested Sunday, Nov. 29 on charges of resisting arrest, obstruction and weapons.

According to a police report, police were called to Scott Street Bar, 425 Harrison St., on a report of a patron with a gun. When officers told McWhorter they were going to pat him down for weapons, he became combative, the report stated. Officers fought with McWhorter inside and outside the bar. He was taken to the Clark County Jail.
