Man charged with slapping woman

SPRINGFIELD — Russel Lawrence Waldron, 23, of 1812 W. Washington St., was arrested Saturday, Mar. 13 on a charge of domestic violence. According to a police report, Waldron slapped a woman he knew across the mouth during an argument while they were riding in a car. When they arrived at a residence, the two continued to argue and Waldron pushed the woman onto a bed and choked her, the report stated.

Waldron fled the scene when the woman called the police. Officers waited until he returned and arrested him. He was taken to the Clark County Jail.

SPRINGFIELD — Kyle S. Horner, 27, of 512 E. Vine St., was arrested Saturday, Mar. 13 on a charge of domestic violence. According to a police report, Horner came home intoxicated, picked up a bowl and threw it at a woman he knew. The bowl fell to the floor and hit a child who was in the home.

Horner went out the front door and the woman locked the door behind him, the report stated. He then left the scene in the woman’s vehicle and was arrested later. Horner returned to the house, but did not stop and police followed him, arresting him a few blocks away.

He was taken to the Clark County Jail.

Items reported stolen to police include:

•A woman from the 2500 block of Home Orchard Drive reported a handgun, video game system and games, valued at $800, stolen from her residence between 1:30 and 3 p.m. Friday, Mar. 12.

•A man from the 800 block of East main Street reported a television, video game system, movies and games, valued at $650, stolen from his residence between 4:50 p.m. Friday, Mar. 12 and 2:45 a.m. Saturday, Mar. 13.

•A man from the 500 block of Murray Street reported two televisions and prescription medication, valued at $700, stolen from his residence between 10 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 13.
