Man accused of shoving woman’s face in pavement

SPRINGFIELD — A local man was jailed Wednesday, March 17, accused of slamming a woman’s face into the pavement, according to a police report.

Jon N. Johnson, 24, of 2015 Clifton Ave., was arrested on a charge of domestic violence Wednesday, according to the report.

Johnson grabbed a woman he knew by the back of the neck and shoved her face-first into the ground in the 1600 block of Mitchell Boulevard around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to the report.

He was taken to Clark County Jail.
