    The Springfield Police Department responded to a report of shots fired around 11 p.m. Saturday night at the corner of Cecil Street and North Fountain Boulevard. Witnesses reported that a 21-year-old male who lived in one of the buildings at the intersection appeared to have a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center's High Street campus. Springfield police cordoned off a building at 1002 N. Fountain Ave.

Patrolman Jeremy Blum, said he had no objection to them being published after he was released Tuesday from Miami Valley Hospital. Blum received treatment for shotgun pellet wounds to his shoulder, injuries he received during Saturday's shootout at Enon Beach in which Clark County Sheriff's Deputy Suzanne Hopper and her suspected killer, Michael L. Ferryman, died.
