Cash stolen from local pizza shop

About $300 cash was reported missing after an apparent burglary at Cassano’s, 2133 East Main St.
According to a report by the Springfield Police Division, at 1:52 a.m. today, Nov. 6, employees reported they entered the store and noticed a rear entrance to the business was unlocked. A steel crowbar was also found on the floor.
A safe in the business was also open, and the money appeared to be missing, according to the report.
