Yikes! Ohio man rips off own penis while high on drugs

A Columbus man allegedly hopped up on mushrooms didn’t know his own strength and his penis paid the ultimate price.

Police responding to a burglary alarm at a Washtenaw County, Mich., middle school found the 41-year-old man bloody, naked and screaming bloody naked murder for an obvious reason - he ripped his manhood off, the Detroit Free Press reports.

“He really wasn’t saying much at all — a lot of yelling and screaming,” Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Sgt. Geoff Fox told the newspaper. “He wasn’t making sense. They couldn’t really communicate with him in terms of constructive conversation.”

Neither police nor the suspect seemed to know exactly how the injury occurred.

The man later told police he was in the area visiting friends and picked up hallucinogenic mushrooms.

He nearly bled to death from his injuries.

Stafford: News-Sun morgue alive at Heritage Center

The morgue is alive again. It’s not alive in quite the same way it was when I habitually slipped in and out of it on the third floor of the News-Sun Building. Still, in the roughly 100 boxes shelved in the Clark County Heritage Center library, the largest body of its material is available to the public. Those who aren’t arthritic journalists...
