Spencer M. Althouse, 28, of Mechanicsburg, and Adam H. Fulk, 28, of Springfield, are each expected to appear in the Clark County Municipal Court at 10:30 a.m. today. Both are facing robbery charges, according to court records.

Springfield police officers were sent to the Speedway on W. North St. at about 2 a.m. Thursday for a robbery in progress. An employee told officers two men — both described as large white males wearing masks on their faces — had just left the store in a silver car.

An employee told police the first suspect entered the store, allegedly pushed a customer to the ground and demanded money. The second suspect also demanded money. Once it was received, the men walked out the front door and drove away, according to a police report. The employee told police she had less than $100 in the cash register at the time, the report said.

Officers located the silver car in the area of East Main Street and North Greenmount Avenue and followed it into the parking lot of the Speedway on East Main Street. Both men, later identified as Althouse and Fulk, were arrested.

The incident was captured on security footage, the report said. The suspects are allegedly wearing the same clothes they were wearing at the time of their arrest, it said. Other clothes they were wearing during the incident were also found in the car, officers wrote.

Fulk told police Althouse made him rob the store and that he allegedly no idea he was going in to rob the store, the report said.

Althouse and Fulk remain in the Clark County Jail.
