Springfield woman jailed after toddlers found alone blocks from home

Springfield police arrested a woman for child endangering after reportedly leaving her nephews home alone.

The children were located by witnesses and police three blocks from their home in the area of South Center Street and West Southern Avenue around 10:30 a.m. April 20.

The victims are a 1-year-old boy and 2-year-old boy, according to a Springfield police report.

Ty'eisha Moore, 25, is facing two counts of endangering children. She was booked into Clark County Jail.

The two children had been located without adult supervision, police said. Witnesses spent 15 minutes trying to locate a parent or guardian.

The children’s mother told police she had left the children in the care of her sister while she stayed with a loved one admitted to an area hospital.

Moore lives with her sister in the 300 block of West Southern Avenue in Springfield.

Moore reportedly admitted to police she left the kids alone to run errands.
