Springfield woman accused of stabbing child’s father

A Springfield woman has been accused of stabbing her child’s father, allegedly causing minor injuries.

Cheyenne Null, 19, 2627 Lagonda Ave., pleaded not guilty to a charge of felonious assault in Clark County Municipal Court on Thursday. Her bond was set at $10,000.

Springfield Police were dispatched to Null’s Lagonda Avenue home just after midnight Wednesday.

The victim, 20-year-old Ethan Gavin, told Springfield Police he was visiting Null to work on their relationship when the meeting escalated into an argument, according to an incident report.

She allegedly flipped over a table, hitting Gavin with it, chased him around the house, and hit, scratched and choked him, police said.

In the kitchen, Null grabbed an unknown object and allegedly stabbed Gavin in the right shoulder with it before fleeing the home, according to the police report.

Gavin was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center for treatment and later released. He had no other visible injuries, according to the report.

Police couldn’t find the object allegedly used to stab Gavin.
