Springfield man enters home, allegedly threatens woman with knife

A Springfield man is facing charges after he allegedly entered a woman’s home and threatened her with a 14-inch kitchen knife, according to a police report.

Key’Audi M. Wilcoxson, 27, of 631 W. Main St., has been charged with felony aggravated burglary. He’s expected to appear in the Clark County Municipal Court at 10:30 a.m. today.

Springfield police officers were sent to a home in the 800 block of Cypress Street on a report of a burglary at about 3:35 a.m. Sunday morning. The suspect allegedly entered through a side door and picked up a black and silver knife, according to a police report. Wilcoxson then began screaming and attempted to take the victim’s purse, the report said.

The man did not take the purse and ran out the side door. Wilcoxson was later arrested at by Springfield PD at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, jail records said.
