A warrant has been issued for a Springfield man who allegedly threw a video game controller at a pregnant woman he knows during an argument about sandwiches.
Joshua L. Dooley, 27, has been accused of domestic violence and disrupting public service, according to a police report.
Police were called to the 1900 block of Primm Drive about midnight Saturday on a report of an assault. The victim called police from a neighbor’s home because Dooley had allegedly destroyed the phone when she attempted to call police during an argument, the report says.
The victim, who told police she is eight months pregnant, and Dooley allegedly argued about sandwiches. He then allegedly threw the video game controller at her right cheek, causing the batteries to come out, the report says. During the struggle, the man allegedly grabbed the woman’s hair and shoved her head into the couch.
Dooley has two other active warrants for domestic violence, the report says. He hadn’t been arrested as of Monday afternoon.
