According to court documents, police were patrolling on March 25 when a man they identified as Buck, who was wanted on previous warrants, was spotted at the Lo-Cost gas station, 1053 Selma Road. When officers turned around, Buck allegedly got into his vehicle and began driving at a high rate of speed.

Buck allegedly drove across a grass lot and sped down an alley, then proceeded to drive westbound on East Southern Avenue to elude police, according to the report. He allegedly drove through two stop signs, including one at East Southern and Clifton avenues, which resulted in Buck’s car being struck on the driver’s side. The car flipped, then rolled into a third vehicle.

After the crash, Buck allegedly attempted to exit the car through the rear, but was stopped when officers tried to apprehend him. According to the report, Buck then allegedly tried to climb back into the driver’s seat to drive away, but was forcibly removed by officers. He was then arrested and the report says he admitted to officers he swallowed heroin and cocaine during the pursuit to hide them from police. A search of Buck’s vehicle allegedly turned up drug paraphernalia.

He was then transported to the Clark County Jail.
