Police are looking for the person who robbed the China Buffet restaurant on Wednesday evening.

According to a Springfield police report, a white male walked in to the restaurant located at 1909 E. Main St. at about 9:04 p.m., walked around the cashier counter and pointed a gun at the cashier. The suspect then said “This is a robbery.”

The suspect reached into the cash register, removed cash and walked southbound out of the restaurant, according to the report.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5’9” to 5’11”, heavy set, and wearing a blue hooded jacket with a hankerchief pulled over the lower part of his face. The suspect was also wearing black gloves with a white stripe.

No shots were fired and no one was hurt, according to police.
