Man, woman allege gunpoint robbery

A Springfield man and a woman told Springfield police they were walking about 5 a.m. Tuesday in the area of Linden Avenue and East Liberty Street when two men approached and one asked for money.

That man then pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the woman. While he was taking items from the woman, the other suspects took items from the male victim, according to the report. STAFF REPORT

Thefts

• A smartphone, valued at $600, was reported stolen about 9:20 a.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of North Murray Street, Springfield.

• A television, DVD player, laptop and tablet computers, and a game console and controllers, valued at more than $1,500, were reported stolen between noon and 1 p.m. during a home burglary in the 500 block of South Fountain Avenue, Springfield. STAFF REPORTS
