Springfield boy stabbed, man jailed

A 15-year-old Springfield boy was stabbed in the arm early Friday morning as he attempted to break up a fight between Travion A. Smith, 31, of 1938 Wilkes Drive and another male in the 1500 block of Fred Jordan Drive, according to a police report.

The boy and a witness told police they saw Smith allegedly get a knife out of the vehicle he was driving and swing it, stabbing the boy.

Smith was located nearby and booked into Clark County Jail on a felonious assault charge and served a warrant for domestic violence.

The boy was treated at Springfield Regional Medical Center. STAFF REPORT

Woman shot in face with BB

A 41-year-old Springfield woman was shot once in the face with a BB during an alleged fight early Friday morning in the 1900 block of Fred Jordan Drive.

According to a report, the woman walked outside to see what the commotion was when a man stepped out of a nearby apartment with a BB gun and shot at her twice, hitting her once in the face.

She was transported to Springfield Regional Medical Center for treatment. STAFF REPORT

Woman jailed on domestic charge

Michelle M. Stahler, 24, of 317 Indiana Ave., was placed in Clark County Jail on a domestic violence charge Thursday.

According to a Springfield police report, Stahler attempted to punch a 24-year-old man she knows in the face and hit his forearm when he blocked it.

A witness also alleged Stahler threw items at the man’s car and house. STAFF REPORT

Theft

• A game console and cash, valued at $600, was reported stolen between 7 and 11:30 p.m. Thursday during a home burglary in the 1700 block of West Wittenberg Avenue, Springfield. STAFF REPORT
