Donation jar money stolen from Springfield Taco Bell restaurant

More than $100 was reported stolen from a donation jar at a Springfield fast food restaurant on Wednesday afternoon.

A man and a woman ordered food at the Taco Bell store at 1920 N. Bechtle Ave. at about 4 p.m., according to a police report.

As the woman was receiving her food, she allegedly distracted employees while the man removed the Teen Foundation donation jar on the front counter, the report said.

The man and woman fled the scene in a dark colored van, the report said.
