Crews called to rollover crash in Shelby Co.

A 20-year-old Sidney man was possibly ejected from his SUV tonight after he slid on a patch of ice.

Sidney Fire and Rescue and the Shelby County Sheriff's Office was called just after 6:30 p.m. to a report of a single-vehicle rollover crash on Fair Road just north of Schenck Road in Clinton Twp.

The driver, identified as Seth Osborne, was out of his 2001 black Chevrolet sport-utility vehicle, and alert and talking, when crews arrived. He was taken to Wilson Hospital and later transferred to Miami Valley Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening, according to deputies. He was not believed to be wearing a seat belt, according to the sheriff's office.

Osborne was traveling south on Fair Road when he hit an icy patch, slid off the east side of a road and struck a phone pedestal. His vehicle rolled a couple times, landing upright.

The accident remains under investigation, but a pending citation is for failure to control, according to the sheriff's office.
