Burglars recorded on store surveillance video

Burglars who stole thousands of dollars in cigarettes from Crawdaddy's corner drive-thru were recorded by store surveillance cameras, and law enforcement officers hope that evidence leads to arrests.

Clark County sheriff's investigators are studying the video, which shows the invaders as they make their way through the store, State Route 235 and U South, at 2 a.m. Monday.

The store's owner, who asked not to be identified by name because he fears retaliation, said he has owned the business for six weeks.

The thieves were scared off when an alarm sounded, but that didn't happen until they had collected $5,000 to $7,000 in cigarettes and done more than $2,500 worth of damage to the business, police said.

There's a $1,000 reward being offered for information that leads to the prosecution of either one of the burglars.

You're asked to call the Clark County Sheriff's Office, (937) 328-2560, if you have information about the incident or the burglars.
