Body found by Greene Co. road, death suspicious

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death in which a body was found on the side of the road.

Sgt. Shawn Prall said “human remains” were found by Rakestraw Road near the Federal Road intersection, south of downtown Cedarville.

Prall said the death is being investigated as suspicious.

Few details are being released at this time, including the age, gender and condition of the body.

Prall said a motorist called 911 at approximately 6 p.m. and reported seeing the body near the edge of the road.

The body was taken to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office and an autopsy is scheduled for Saturday morning.
